007 First Light Video Game Delayed to May 2026
The upcoming James Bond video game 007 First Light has been delayed from its original release date of 27 March 2026 to 27 May 2026. This will be the first James Bond game since 2012's 007 Legends. Developed by IO Interactive in association with Delphi Interactive, the game is fully playable but requires additional polish before launch. Delphi Interactive is also known for a Netflix-released FIFA game ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
007 First Light presents a reimagined origin story featuring a 26-year-old James Bond recruited into MI6 who gains the 00 title in a standalone narrative. Patrick Gibson provides the voice for James Bond, while the main villain is portrayed by Lenny Kravitz, as revealed at the December 2025 Game Awards. Gameplay trailers have shown gadgets and cinematic action sequences, though some fans have expressed concerns about frame rates and motion blur.
IO Interactive describes 007 First Light as its most ambitious project to date and has thanked fans for their patience.
