Amber and Yellow Weather Warnings Across UK Amid Snow and Cold Health Alerts
Amber heavy-snow warnings cover northern Scotland and remain in place until Monday morning, while yellow warnings for snow and ice extend across Northern Ireland, Wales, and much of England. The UK Health Security Agency has issued amber cold health alerts across England until Tuesday. Health risks during this period include heart attacks, strokes, and chest infections, particularly for those over 65 or with pre-existing conditions. The agency advises people to check on vulnerable individuals during this time.
