Anthony Joshua's Associates Killed in Ogun State Crash; Boxer Stable
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu announced the deaths of two close associates of boxer Anthony Joshua, Kevin Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, in a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
The accident occurred around 11:00 local time when the Lexus SUV, in which Joshua was traveling in the rear seat, was reportedly driving beyond the speed limit, overtook another vehicle, and collided with a stationary truck.
Two male foreign nationals died at the scene, while another person was injured. Joshua sustained minor injuries and is currently stable.
A joint statement from the Lagos and Ogun state governments indicated that the hospitalized patients are stable and do not require emergency medical intervention at this time.
Following the incident, boxer Jake Paul publicly prayed for Joshua's recovery.
