Slot highlighted that Liverpool has scored only three set-piece goals this season, while Bournemouth has conceded more set-piece goals than them. Additionally, rivals Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United have each scored 10 goals from set pieces, surpassing Liverpool's total.
The manager emphasized that the difference between Liverpool and their rivals is small and called for improvements in the second half of games, not just relying on maintaining a six-game unbeaten run. From open play, Liverpool remains the league's leading chance creator. However, set-piece vulnerabilities and refereeing decisions have heavily influenced their season to date.
