Arsenal Secure 3-1 Victory Over Everton in WSL at Goodison Park
Arsenal won 3-1 away at Everton in the Women's Super League on 13 December 2025 at Goodison Park.
Katie McCabe opened the scoring in the 11th minute. Honoka Hayashi equalised for Everton in the first half. Alessia Russo quickly restored Arsenal's lead, and Olivia Smith scored late, three minutes from time, sealing Arsenal's victory. This was Smith's second league goal in two games, having also scored against Liverpool.
Leah Williamson made a late substitute appearance, marking her first game since a knee injury sustained in July’s European Championship final, and was warmly welcomed by the away fans.
With this win, Arsenal moved from 4th to 2nd place in the WSL table, five points behind leaders Manchester City, one point above Chelsea, and two points ahead of Manchester United who were scheduled to play on Sunday. Arsenal have now won four consecutive matches in all competitions. Their upcoming fixtures include away games in Leuven, Belgium and against Crystal Palace from WSL2 in the League Cup quarter-finals.
Everton remained in 9th place. The home side had early opportunities, including a header from Beth Mead that was saved, a shot from Mariona Caldentey that was blocked, a deflected effort by Kyra Cooney-Cross that went narrowly wide, and a header by Arsenal’s Russo that hit the side netting.
