Barry Manilow Diagnosed with Early Stage Lung Cancer, Postpones Performances
Barry Manilow, aged 82, has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is set to undergo surgery to remove part of his left lung. The cancer was detected after an MRI conducted following a relapse of bronchitis, revealing a cancerous spot. Doctors have stated that the cancer is in its early stages and has not spread.
As a result, Manilow has postponed a series of upcoming live performances. He plans to resume his 16th-year residency at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino with shows scheduled for Valentine’s Day weekend.
The treatment plan currently involves surgery to remove part of the left lung, with no chemotherapy or radiotherapy planned at this stage. Manilow announced the health update via social media, expressing optimism about returning to perform at the Westgate Las Vegas stage for the Valentine’s weekend concerts.
