BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025 Ceremony Held in Salford
The BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025 ceremony was held in Salford on 18 December 2025, starting at 7pm GMT.
Six nominees were announced for the main award: Chloe Kelly, Hannah Hampton, Ellie Kildunne, Lando Norris, Rory McIlroy, and Luke Littler.
The World Sport Star of the Year category included nominees Armand Duplantis, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Mohamed Salah, Mariona Caldentey, Terence Crawford, and Shohei Ohtani.
The Young Sports Personality shortlist featured Luke Littler, Michelle Agyemang, and Davina Perrin.
Contenders for Team of the Year were England women’s rugby, England women’s football, and Europe’s Ryder Cup winners.
The Helen Rollason Award, which recognizes achievement in the face of adversity, has previously been awarded to notable figures such as Rob Burrow, Fatima Whitbread, and Mark Prince of the Kiyan Prince Foundation.
The Lifetime Achievement Award for 2025 was presented to football legend Thierry Henry.
