Beyoncé Becomes Fifth Billionaire Musician According to Forbes
Beyoncé has been recognized as the fifth billionaire musician by Forbes, joining the ranks of Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift. Jay-Z was the first musician to achieve billionaire status in 2019. Beyoncé's substantial wealth primarily derives from her music career, particularly the highly successful Cowboy Carter tour and the Renaissance world tour. The Cowboy Carter tour, noted as the world’s highest-grossing music tour of 2025, grossed over $400 million in ticket sales and $50 million from merchandise. The Renaissance world tour added approximately $579 million to her earnings.
The Cowboy Carter tour was a large-scale operation that employed around 350 crew members, transported equipment with 100 semi-trucks and eight 747 cargo planes. It also featured guest appearances by her husband, children, and former Destiny’s Child members. This musical success follows the critical acclaim of her 2024 Cowboy Carter album, which earned her first Album of the Year Grammy.
Beyoncé also founded Parkwood Entertainment in 2010, which consolidates all her artistic ventures, including music, concerts, and documentaries, giving her greater control over her career. Beyond music, she has launched several business ventures such as the Cécred hair care brand, a whiskey label named SirDavis, and the Ivy Park clothing line. However, most of her wealth remains tied to her music catalogue and touring activities.
