Beyoncé has been named a billionaire by Forbes, becoming the fifth musician listed among the world's wealthiest people by the publication. This follows Forbes' earlier estimate of her net worth at about $800 million. Jay-Z, her husband, is listed at $2.5 billion by Forbes.
Beyoncé's rise to billionaire status is attributed to several recent successful ventures. The Renaissance World Tour in 2023 grossed nearly $600 million, demonstrating her continued appeal as a live performer. She also produced a concert film that was released through an AMC deal, earning nearly half of the film's $44 million global box office.
In 2024, Beyoncé's album "Cowboy Carter" won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, marking her first win after four prior nominations. The accompanying Cowboy Carter tour earned over $400 million in ticket sales and approximately $50 million in merchandise revenue. The tour featured performances by Jay-Z, two of their three children, and former Destiny's Child members. It set ticket price records in the United Kingdom, with top-priced tickets reaching £950 and the cheapest tickets at £71.
