Binance Temporarily Suspends Visa and Mastercard Withdrawals for Ukrainian Users Amid Bifinity Regulatory Changes
Binance has temporarily suspended card-based withdrawals for Ukrainian users, blocking direct withdrawals to Visa and Mastercard starting December 29. The change was communicated via an in-app notice. This update follows adjustments by Bifinity UAB, which is exiting fiat services by the end of December due to regulatory changes.
Binance clarified that this suspension is due to maintenance and partner infrastructure updates related to Bifinity's exit, not actions taken by the Ukraine central bank. Peer-to-peer trading remains enabled for Ukrainian users.
Ukrainian users are unable to withdraw funds to Visa and Mastercard, and recurring buy features have been halted. Additionally, all existing fiat limit buy orders have been canceled. Deposits remain largely unchanged, and incoming deposits made via Visa and Mastercard are still permitted. Payments through Apple Pay and Google Pay continue to be supported, while SWIFT transfers remain available for both deposits and withdrawals.
Zen.com, a service used for euro and zloty transfers, is temporarily unavailable for Ukrainian users but is expected to resume operations on January 6, 2026.
Binance has arranged for other regulated providers to take over the functions previously handled by Bifinity. Some fiat methods may be temporarily unavailable during this transition, though Binance assures that user funds remain safe.
Ukraine represents a significant market for Binance in Europe, with roughly 4.8 million Ukrainian users registered on the platform as of mid-2024. Users are advised to monitor payment options and consult region-specific FAQs as fiat services stabilize with new providers.
The December 15, 2025 announcement from Binance highlighted that Bifinity UAB would cease services by December 31 due to regulatory changes. Bifinity began providing fiat on/off ramps for Binance in 2022.
