Bitwise Files for 11 Crypto Strategy ETFs Tracking Tokens Including AAVE, ZEC, and TAO
Bitwise Asset Management has filed with the SEC to launch 11 crypto strategy ETFs investing in a diverse range of tokens including AAVE, UNI, ZEC, SUI, TAO, and others.
The proposed ETFs would invest up to 60% of assets directly in the underlying tokens, with the remainder allocated to exchange-traded products and derivatives such as futures and swaps. Other tokens named in the filing include HYPE, NEAR, TRX, athena (ENA), STRK, and canton coin (CC).
This filing coincides with Grayscale’s move to convert its bittensor trust into an exchange-traded product, reflecting a growing interest in decentralized AI as an investable crypto theme. Bittensor uses the TAO token to reward contributors of models and computing power, positioning TAO prominently among the tokens cited in Bitwise’s filing.
Bitwise has prior experience launching spot ETFs tied to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP and has submitted additional applications for assets such as SUI and hyperliquid. This latest move demonstrates a trend of issuers expanding beyond Bitcoin and Ether into a broader array of crypto assets and tokenized strategies.
