Brendan Rodgers in Talks to Take Over Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Pro League
Brendan Rodgers, 52, is in discussions to become the new manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah and is expected to sign a long-term contract. The club, owned by Aramco, recently sacked their manager Michel over the weekend.
Rodgers resigned from Celtic in October 2025 after a period that included back-to-back Scottish titles. His departure followed transfer market issues at Celtic. Since leaving Leicester City in 2023, Rodgers had previously declined an opportunity to move to Saudi Arabian football.
Celtic appointed Wilfried Nancy as Rodgers' permanent successor, who has lost his first three matches, including a League Cup final. Martin O’Neill, who served as caretaker manager after Rodgers' departure, stated he would have remained if asked and urged patience with Nancy.
Rodgers has long been regarded as an attractive managerial target for Saudi clubs, and his potential move to Al-Qadsiah marks a new chapter in his career.
