Broncos Star Bo Nix Explains Childhood Fear of Dogs After Broadcaster Moment
Bo Nix, quarterback for the Denver Broncos, has shared that his childhood fear of dogs originated from a dog attack he experienced while growing up in a family that was not centered around dogs. This fear had previously led to backlash when Nix appeared to snub the dog of ESPN/Prime broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit, named Peter. In response, Herbstreit arranged a reunion between Nix and Peter, during which Nix explained the origin of his fear.
In addition to addressing his fear of dogs, Nix recently coined the term "Overdog" following Denver's upset victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 15. He also launched an Overdogs apparel line, with proceeds benefiting the Denver Rescue Mission.
On Christmas Day, the Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 20-13, improving their record to 13-3 and maintaining their position as they pursue the AFC No. 1 seed. Denver is set to face the Los Angeles team in their Week 18 regular-season finale at home.
