Brooks Koepka to Leave LIV Golf After 2025 Season
Brooks Koepka has announced he will leave LIV Golf following the conclusion of the 2025 season. Koepka joined LIV Golf in 2022 on a nine-figure deal and after four years with the series, plans to step away to spend more time with his family and be closer to home. Despite his departure, Koepka will remain a supporter of LIV Golf.
The PGA Tour responded to Koepka's news with a vague statement emphasizing that it offers the most competitive and lucrative environment for professional golf. Koepka, a five-time major winner, transitioned to LIV Golf after suffering injuries including a torn patellar tendon. In 2023, he won the PGA Championship shortly after finishing as runner-up at The Masters and earned a Ryder Cup spot that year.
Koepka's best major performance in 2025 was a tied 12th place at the U.S. Open at Oakmont, marking his only top-25 finish in majors since 2024. Earlier in March 2025, he expressed uncertainty about his future once his LIV Golf contract concludes.
