Chelsea Enter Hunt for £65m Antoine Semenyo with Inquiry About His Terms
Chelsea have made an inquiry about signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, with a £65 million release clause set to become operative in January.
The 25-year-old Ghana international from London has scored eight Premier League goals and provided three assists this season.
Chelsea face competition from Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United in the pursuit of Semenyo. Although Chelsea are not regarded as the favorites, they have engaged with Semenyo's camp to discuss potential terms.
Chelsea remain optimistic that Semenyo may be interested in joining due to their long-term project and the opportunity to make an immediate impact at a top club.
Semenyo is known for his versatility, able to play on both flanks as well as a striker. He is valued for his aerial threat, pace, and power.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola stated that Semenyo trained well and remains a Bournemouth player for now, but indicated that the January transfer window could influence whether they keep him.
