Christian Barmore Accuses Jets Tackle of Dirty Play During Patriots' Dominant Win
During the Dec. 28, 2025 NFL game in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore accused Jets tackle Armand Membou of dirty play. Barmore claimed Membou fell on him after the whistle with New England leading 35-3 at halftime. The incident reportedly occurred on a third-and-long situation, with Membou landing his entire body on Barmore's back after the play had ended.
Video footage confirmed Membou falling on Barmore near the line of scrimmage. Following the game, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel spoke with Barmore about maintaining composure and noted that referees informed him players were avoiding post-whistle actions.
Barmore expressed his concerns to The Boston Herald in comments after the game. On the same day, Drake Maye threw a career-high five touchdown passes as the Patriots defeated the Jets 42-10, finishing the regular season undefeated on the road. Treveon Henderson contributed with three rushing touchdowns to the victory.
