Christmas Turkey Dinner Prices Rise by Nearly 4% in 2025
The cost of a typical Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings in the UK for 2025 is about £32.45, reflecting an increase of £1.24 or nearly 4% from last year.
The centrepiece turkey, a standard 10lb frozen bird, now costs £20, up from £18.62 last year, marking a 7.37% rise.
Brussels sprouts have also seen a price increase, now priced at 94p per bag, which is more than 9% higher than the previous year.
Pigs in blankets cost £2.59, up 5.3% compared to last year.
However, some items have become cheaper. Stuffing mix is down 1.32% to 50p for 170g, and gravy granules have decreased by 7.35% to 91p for 200-300g.
Traditional Christmas desserts also saw price reductions; Christmas pudding costs £2.35, down 7.42%, and six iced mince pies are priced at £1.77, down 2.75%.
Root vegetables overall are cheaper, with potatoes and parsnips down by a penny and the price of carrots remaining unchanged.
These prices are based on data collected on 6 December 2025 and compared with the same date in 2024 for own-brand products from major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Aldi, and Lidl.
