Claudia Winkleman to Host New BBC Chat Show Launching in Spring
The BBC has confirmed that Claudia Winkleman will host a new chat show entitled The Claudia Winkleman Show, set to launch in the spring. The corporation plans to invest significant resources to secure high-profile guests for the show's debut.
The new chat show will be produced by So Television, the same production team behind The Graham Norton Show, which remains in rotation and has recently secured a three-year renewal.
Winkleman, a longtime BBC presenter known for Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Traitors, reinforces her position as a top primetime asset for the BBC with this new role. Her move to the new chat show follows her announcement alongside Tess Daly in October that they were quitting Strictly Come Dancing, prompting speculation about new formats for Traitors and related programming.
Celebrity Traitors drew an audience of over 11 million, marking the biggest live audience since Gavin & Stacey's 2024 Christmas special, highlighting Winkleman's strong drawing power. The first guests for The Claudia Winkleman Show have yet to be announced.
