Colombia Mobilises Armed Forces to Venezuela Border Following US Strikes Amid Regional Tensions
Colombia has deployed its armed forces to the border with Venezuela in response to a series of US airstrikes, citing concerns over a potential influx of refugees. President Gustavo Petro announced that a national security meeting had decided on the deployment and called for an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council to address the situation.
Petro condemned what he described as aggression against the sovereignty of Venezuela and Latin America.
