Cowboys Center Cooper Beebe Accuses Chargers of Misrepresenting His On-Field Call as Racist
Cooper Beebe, the Dallas Cowboys' starting center in his second year and a 2024 third-round draft pick out of Kansas State, accused the Los Angeles Chargers of editing a post to make his on-field call appear racist following their Week 16 game.
Beebe explained that the video posted by the Chargers bleeped out his call, which was actually intended to help identify who to block, and he criticized the Chargers for being disrespectful by misrepresenting him.
The Chargers had posted a clip on X captioned "lol instant karma," involving both Daiyan Henley and Beebe's call; however, both the post and the original video were deleted from X after gaining viral attention.
In response, Beebe posted on X accusing the Chargers of misrepresenting his words. Fox News Digital sought a comment from the Chargers but did not receive an official response for this story.
The Cowboys currently have a 6-8-1 record and are preparing for a Christmas Day game against the Washington Commanders. Meanwhile, the Chargers clinched a playoff berth with their recent win and have a potential AFC West path ahead, including a Week 18 matchup against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos could win the division if they defeat the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
