Dem Senate Candidate Faces Backlash After Violent Remarks Against Justices Barrett and Kavanaugh Go Viral
On November 12, during a Huron Valley Indivisible event, Democratic Senate candidate McMorrow made remarks stating she would have thrown beers at Supreme Court Justices Barrett and Kavanaugh if she had seen them at a tailgate. A clip of these comments went viral on Thursday, leading to conservative backlash on social media.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee and several conservative commentators questioned McMorrow's fitness for office and suggested she needed help. Fox News Digital reached out to the McMorrow campaign for comment but did not receive a response.
In October, McMorrow was the headline speaker at the John D. Dingell Unity Dinner, where an attendee displayed a sign reading "MAGA=NAZI" with "86 47," which supporters later described as inappropriate and raised concerns about the rhetoric being used. McMorrow spokesman Andrew Mamo acknowledged the sign was wrong and called for careful language and signs.
The article also notes McMorrow’s fundraising efforts include support from far-left figures, including a blogger who had mocked the assassination of commentator Charlie Kirk. Additionally, the broader political tensions mentioned involve a Code Pink protest at Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's restaurant in DC.
