Discounted $90 World Cup Tickets Offered to Socceroos Fans Through Federation Allocations
FIFA has agreed to discount some World Cup tickets to $90, designated as Supporter Entry Tier, for all games with specific allocations defined for each national federation. Australia’s allocations include approximately 500 tickets priced at $90 per Socceroos match.
The discounted tickets will be allocated to national federations, which have the responsibility to distribute them to fans who have attended previous matches either at home or away. For Australia's group matches, the allocations are 432 $90 tickets for the UEFA playoff winner match, 552 tickets for the USA match, and 568 tickets for the Paraguay match.
Supporter Entry Tier tickets will constitute 10% of each federation’s ticket allocation. In total, the "participant member association" allocation accounts for 8% of the stadium capacity per country per match. Australia's group games are scheduled to be held in Vancouver (54,000 capacity), Seattle (69,000), and Santa Clare (71,000).
The next-cheapest tickets after the $90 tier are priced around $400. Additionally, some fans may secure $90 tickets for the final match instead of paying up to about $6,300. However, fans who have already purchased tickets face uncertainty regarding access under the new pricing and ballot-based distribution process, and membership programs such as FA+ do not guarantee ticket allocation.
