Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, the driver involved in the crash that injured boxer Anthony Joshua, was charged at Sagamu Magistrate Court in Nigeria.

He faces four charges: causing death by dangerous driving; reckless and negligent driving; driving without due care; and driving without a valid driver's licence.

The accident occurred on a highway in Ogun State near Lagos when the vehicle hit a stationary truck.

Latif Ayodele, Joshua's personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, his strength coach, died in the crash.

Anthony Joshua was a passenger in the vehicle; he sustained injuries and was discharged from hospital on Wednesday.

The court case has been adjourned until 20 January.
