Epstein Survivor Calls for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to Face Justice in the US
Marina Lacerda, an Epstein survivor who was exploited from the age of 14 for three years, has called for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to be brought to justice in the United States. She urged accountability for those involved in trafficking and criticized both the UK and US authorities for their handling of Virginia Giuffre’s allegations against Mountbatten-Windsor. Lacerda emphasized the need for a more thorough US investigation into the matter.
Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she met Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2001 at the age of 17 and was sexually abused, died by suicide in April. Her memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was published posthumously in October. Epstein files reveal Mountbatten-Windsor's requests to Ghislaine Maxwell to arrange meetings with “inappropriate friends” and desires for “friendly and discreet and fun” girls, referencing emails from 2001 to 2002 that mention Balmoral and the death of his valet, Michael Perry.
The FBI attempted to question Mountbatten-Windsor regarding links to Peter Nygard, but he refused to respond, and no further action was taken. Brad Edwards, Giuffre’s lawyer, stated that anyone who believed Mountbatten-Windsor’s denials should be ashamed and praised Giuffre as an extraordinarily brave survivor.
In October 2022, Mountbatten-Windsor had his titles and honours removed. He previously reached a settlement with Giuffre the same year. The US Department of Justice-released Epstein files also include references to Maxwell’s involvement. Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking.
The Guardian attempted to contact Mountbatten-Windsor and his representatives for comment but received no response. Additional documents reference a trip by Mountbatten-Windsor to Peru around the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s 50th anniversary on the throne, linked to an email about “inappropriate friends.”
