Erika Kirk Endorses JD Vance for 2028 Presidential Election at Turning Point USA's America Fest
Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, publicly endorsed JD Vance for the 2028 presidential election during Turning Point USA's America Fest held in Phoenix, Arizona. She articulated the objective to elect JD Vance as the 48th president in 2028.
Since the murder of her husband, Kirk has led Turning Point USA with a focus on building the "red wall" and ensuring that former President Donald Trump maintains control of Congress for four years. This endorsement is considered significant as it could provide Vance with considerable support from Turning Point USA’s youth-centered political network.
A longtime Trump adviser noted that Erika Kirk's endorsement is consistent with Charlie Kirk’s earlier backing of Vance’s potential 2028 run. The relationship between Vance and Charlie Kirk was close; Kirk helped in Vance’s political rise, and following Kirk’s death, Vance honored him by flying his casket back to Arizona aboard Air Force Two and hosting Kirk’s podcast.
Although JD Vance has not officially announced his candidacy for the 2028 presidential race, he remains widely regarded as the leading figure representing the MAGA movement.
