Erika Kirk Pays Tribute to Late Husband, Endorses JD Vance at AmericaFest 2025
Erika Kirk spoke at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest in Phoenix on December 18, 2025, making it the first event of its kind since the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk. During the event, she paid tribute to her late husband, describing AmericaFest as his 'Super Bowl' and affirming her commitment to carry on his legacy. Kirk endorsed Vice President JD Vance for president, declaring that he would be elected and framing him as the next commander in chief.
She highlighted the organization's growth, noting that 80% of attendees had never participated in a Turning Point USA event before, signaling increased interest since Charlie Kirk's passing. Turning Point USA reported significant expansion metrics, including involvement of more than 1 million students, 3,082 Club America chapters, and 1,432 college chapters.
During her address, Kirk overcame a technical malfunction when her iPad notes disappeared, requiring her to improvise her remarks. She also referenced a humorous dig at Joy Reid regarding her attire, joking about a hug, and cited Candace Owens' conspiracy theories by noting the absence of Egypt among the attendees, reinforcing the event's spirited atmosphere. Kirk emphasized that despite challenges, the 'enemy' will not win.
