Falcons Upset Rams Behind Bijan Robinson's Record-Setting Performance
Bijan Robinson rushed for 195 yards, including a 93-yard touchdown—the Falcons' longest run in franchise history and the NFL's longest of the season. Robinson also added five receptions for 34 yards and a four-yard receiving touchdown, finishing with 2,255 scrimmage yards for the year, setting a Falcons single-season record.
The Falcons led 21-0 at halftime and extended the lead to 24-3 early in the second half before the Rams rallied to tie the game at 24. Zane Gonzalez kicked a 51-yard field goal with 21 seconds remaining to seal a 27-24 victory for Atlanta.
Defensively, Jessie Bates III returned a 34-yard interception for a Falcons touchdown. Emmanuel Forbes Jr blocked a 37-yard field goal attempt by Gonzalez, with Jarred Verse returning the recovery 76 yards for a touchdown, marking the Rams' first blocked-kick touchdown since 1986. Xavier Watts recorded his second interception of Matthew Stafford, stopping a Rams drive on a fourth-down play from the Atlanta 27-yard line with 9:04 remaining.
Matthew Stafford threw three interceptions and finished 22-of-38 for 269 yards with two touchdowns; he concluded the season with a career-best 42 touchdown passes and earned his third Pro Bowl honor this season.
The win improved Atlanta's record to 7-9, extending their winning streak to three games. The Rams fell to 11-5 and will open the playoffs on the road as the NFC's No. 5 seed.
