Family Pays Tribute to Toddler Who Died After Falling Into Pond on Christmas Day
Isobel Wallace, aged 2, tragically died after falling into a garden pond at her parents' home in Doncaster on Christmas Day, 25 December 2025. The pond, located in the garden of the newly acquired and still being renovated family home, had temporary fencing during this period, but the family noted the fencing was not permanent, allowing Isobel access to the area where the incident occurred.
The Wallace family described Isobel as an adventurous, happy, and smiling child. Her aunt, Abigail Maxwell, expressed her grief by posting about Isobel and setting up a fundraising page to support the family. The fundraiser has raised over £19,000 to assist with funeral costs, parental counseling, and the creation of a memorial garden in Isobel's memory.
Isobel's mother, Tamara Wallace, shared on social media about her daughter's adventurous spirit and the joy she brought during her two years of life. The loss deeply affected the family during what would have been a joyful festive celebration at their new home in Doncaster.
