Filecoin Declines 7.3%, Breaking Below $1.43 Support Amid Broader Crypto Weakness
On December 11, 2025, Filecoin (FIL) experienced a significant decline of 7.3% within 24 hours, dropping from $1.48 to $1.38 and breaking the $1.43 support level. The price found a new floor near $1.37, where it stabilized around session lows, indicating temporary exhaustion.
Trading volume surged to 10.6 million FIL during this breakdown, an 85% increase above average, which suggested notable institutional selling pressure. This move marked a trend reversal from December highs close to $1.55 reached on December 10.
Technical analysis highlighted a critical floor at $1.37 and a rejection zone between $1.39 and $1.43. The volume spiked sixfold during the failed reversal attempt, signaling distribution. Should the $1.37 floor fail to hold, downside targets range between $1.30 and $1.35, with the next resistance now at the former support level of $1.43.
This decline occurred amid a wider sector-wide liquidation affecting decentralized infrastructure tokens (DePIN), which led losses among crypto assets. At the same time, Bitcoin traded below $91,000 and the CoinDesk 20 index dropped approximately 3.4%.
