FTSE-100 Events Group Informa Launches Search for New Chairman
Informa, a FTSE-100 events group with a market capitalization of around £11.3 billion, has initiated a search for a new chairman. The company has appointed headhunters Russell Reynolds Associates to identify a successor to John Rishton, who has served as chairman since 2021. Rishton joined Informa's board in September 2016 and is expected to step down in 2027.
Informa is known for events such as the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and World of Concrete. The company also has a notable history with assets like Lloyd's List, a historic maritime news service previously owned by Informa. Its large data division has contributed significantly to recent growth.
Earlier this year, CEO Lord Carter relocated his residency to Dubai to support growth prospects in the Gulf region and may extend his tenure by at least two years. The company's shares closed on Monday at 885.2p. Informa declined to comment on the search for Rishton's successor.
