Hibernian Clinch 3-2 Victory Over Hearts in Scottish Premiership Derby
Hearts, who entered the derby as league leaders, were defeated 3-2 by Hibernian at Easter Road. The match saw Hibs take an early strong lead, with Jamie McGrath scoring in the third minute, followed by Josh Campbell just before halftime, making it 2-0.
Kieron Bowie extended Hibernian's advantage early in the second half to 3-0. Despite this, Hearts mounted a late comeback with Lawrence Shankland scoring in the 75th minute and Cammy Devlin adding a goal in the 89th.
Hibernian goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger was crucial in stoppage time, making two key saves to deny Shankland and Beni Baningime, preserving the win for Hibs.
Hibs head coach David Gray named a largely unchanged side for the derby, with Warren O’Hora starting at centre-back in place of Zach Mitchell. Hearts made a defensive change, bringing in Craig Halkett for the injured Frankie Kent, who had a knee injury.
Early in the game, Cadden was injured at the 29th minute and replaced by Josh Campbell. At halftime, Hearts substituted Kingsley and McEntee with Harry Milne and Beni Baningime.
