Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Heavyweight Bout at Kaseya Center, Miami
The highly anticipated heavyweight boxing event between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The main event was scheduled to start no earlier than 10:30pm ET (3:30am GMT). Netflix streamed the event globally starting at 8pm ET at no extra cost to subscribers, featuring three televised preliminary fights before the main bout. Additionally, the first five undercard fights, which were not broadcast on Netflix, were made available for free on Most Valuable Promotions’ YouTube channel.
The main fight between Joshua and Paul was set for eight rounds with no titles on the line. At the weigh-in, Joshua weighed 243.4 pounds while Paul weighed 216.6 pounds, a difference of 26.8 pounds that raised some safety concerns. The combined purse for the event was reported to be around $184 million.
The undercard featured several key matchups, including Baumgardner vs Beaudoin for the women’s junior lightweight titles, Dubois defending his WBC lightweight title against Panatta, Johnson vs Galle for the undisputed bantamweight title, Valle defending his WBC strawweight title against Bustillos, and a cruiserweight bout between Silva and Woodley.
