Jamie Oliver to Relaunch Jamie's Italian Restaurant Chain in UK Next Spring
Jamie Oliver is set to relaunch his Jamie's Italian restaurant chain in the UK with a new site opening in Leicester Square, London, next spring. The relaunch will be undertaken in partnership with Brava Hospitality Group, the operator of Prezzo, who will manage the UK operations. Originally launched in 2008 in Oxford with Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian expanded to about 40 locations before entering administration in 2019, leading to the closure of UK sites. However, the overseas network remains active with over 30 restaurants in 25 countries. James Brown, chief executive of Brava Hospitality Group, stated the goal of the relaunch is to bring world-class Italian dining back to the UK high street and to provide long-term investment ensuring the brand's longevity. Jamie Oliver will oversee the menus, ingredient sourcing, staff training, and the overall look and feel of the new restaurant concept. This relaunch represents an exciting new chapter for Jamie's Italian and Brava Hospitality as they aim to reimagine the UK high street with a contemporary hospitality experience.
