Jeremiyah Love Over Playoff Snub, Focused on Heisman and NFL Prospects
Notre Dame did not reach the College Football Playoff in 2025, with the playoff field including Miami, Alabama, James Madison, and Tulane. Jeremiyah Love, a standout player for Notre Dame, is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy this season. Despite the disappointment of the playoff snub, Love has expressed that he is over the setback and focused on the next opportunities ahead.
Notre Dame decided to opt out of a bowl game in 2025 as a team-wide decision. This was due to numerous players opting out or leaving, and the team wanted to avoid misrepresenting the strength of the 2025 squad. Over the course of the season, Love rushed for 1,372 yards on 199 carries, scoring 18 rushing touchdowns.
Love credited Samsung Galaxy wearables with aiding his training and recovery throughout the season, and he hopes the partnership with Samsung continues as he transitions into the NFL. Although he has not yet officially declared for the NFL Draft, he is expected to do so soon.
