Jeremiyah Love Reflects on Choosing Notre Dame Over Michigan Amid Sherrone Moore Scandal
Jeremiyah Love, who was offered by Michigan but ultimately chose to play for Notre Dame, spoke about his decision, noting that while Michigan had great people, Notre Dame was the right fit for him. Notre Dame recently opted out of a bowl game following their failure to make the College Football Playoff, a situation Love addressed concerning the playoff snub.
The University's football program has been in the spotlight due to the firing of head coach Sherrone Moore. Moore was terminated after it was uncovered that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. Following the breakup, prosecutors allege Moore contacted the staffer repeatedly through phone calls and text messages, which led her to notify the University of Michigan and cooperate with investigators.
Subsequently, Moore was jailed on multiple charges, including home invasion and stalking. He was granted a $25,000 bond with conditions requiring mental health treatment, GPS tracking, no contact with the victim, and a restriction to remain in Michigan. His next court date is set for January 22.
