Kevin Schade Hat-trick Sends Brentford to 3-1 Victory Over Bournemouth
Brentford secured a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium, extending Bournemouth’s Premier League winless run.
Kevin Schade was the star of the match, completing a hat-trick with the opener, a second goal late on a counterattack, and the final goal scored with the last kick of the match.
The first Brentford goal came from a pass by Igor Thiago, following an early wide shot from Yehor Yarmolyuk. The second Brentford goal was also set up by Thiago, as Yarmolyuk's cutback finished on a counterattack. The ball then rebounded off Bournemouth defenders and goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic before resulting in the goal.
Bournemouth responded when Antoine Semenyo scored from inches out with a back-heel finish after Alejandro Jiménez's run to the byline, putting Brentford's defense and keeper under pressure.
At halftime, Brentford made a defensive substitution, replacing Diakité with Cook at centre-back. Bournemouth attempted to change the game by bringing on David Brooks, Evanilson, and Justin Kluivert in the second half.
