LEON has announced plans to appoint administrators under a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) to close unprofitable sites and secure the future of the business.

The company operates 71 restaurants in total, 44 of which are directly owned. It remains unclear how many of these restaurants and the approximately 1,100 staff would be affected by the CVA.

The restructuring will involve the closure of several restaurants and associated job losses. To mitigate the impact, LEON has created a programme to support those facing redundancy.

Co-founder John Vincent recently bought LEON back from Asda last month.

This announcement was made on 10 December 2025.
