Lions Star Amon-Ra St. Brown Expresses Dislike for Playing on Christmas
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown shared on his St. Brown Podcast with Equanimeous that he dislikes playing games on Christmas and traveling for road games on holidays. The Lions are scheduled to play the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Christmas Day with a 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
St. Brown noted that Christmas and Thanksgiving are holidays the Lions routinely play on, and he expressed concern about missing family time, especially if he had children. He is currently dealing with a knee injury and is listed as questionable for Week 17 but is expected to play if cleared by medical staff.
The Lions need to win their final two games while hoping Green Bay loses its final two games in order to reach the playoffs. In their previous game against Pittsburgh, a late Detroit touchdown was negated by a penalty. St. Brown himself was penalized for offensive pass interference on the final play, which ended the game without a go-ahead score for the Lions.
