Luke Littler Faces Gian van Veen in PDC World Championship Darts Final at Alexandra Palace
The PDC World Championship final at Alexandra Palace will see Luke Littler, the reigning world champion, face off against Gian van Veen, the world youth champion. The match is scheduled to start at 8:15pm GMT.
Littler, who won the world title at the age of 17, is now 18 and aims to become the first player to retain the title since Gary Anderson about a decade ago. This final is notable for being the youngest in world championship history by combined age, with the total around 41 years. Littler is approximately five years younger than Van Veen.
The two players previously met in the 2024 world youth final, where Littler won 6-4. Throughout 2025, their head-to-head record across five matches stands at Van Veen leading 3-2. At Alexandra Palace this year, Van Veen had not yet secured a win, whereas Littler has reached the final in his first two appearances and won last year.
Van Veen has held the world youth champion title for two consecutive years, entering the final with strong credentials from his youth championship successes. Prior to this final, he experienced earlier losses at Alexandra Palace this year to Man Lok Leung and Ricardo Pietreczko.
