Luke Littler Reaches World Darts Championship Quarter-Finals Amid Crowd Hostility
Luke Littler, 18, secured a 4-2 victory against Rob Cross to advance to the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace.
During the fourth-round match, Littler faced boos from the crowd, a reaction he acknowledged caused him to lose his head momentarily.
In the post-match on-stage interview, Littler addressed the crowd hostility but also thanked fans for the tickets and prize money.
He said the boos actually fuelled his performance and helped him play better, although he noted that he still needs to learn how to manage his emotions.
Littler averaged 106.5 and hit 17 180s during the match.
He is set to face either Luke Woodhouse or Krzysztof Ratański in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
