Manhunt Ongoing for Gunman Who Killed Two and Injured Nine at Brown University
A manhunt is underway for the gunman who killed two people and injured nine others at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
The shooting took place in the Barus & Holley Engineering Building during exams while the outer doors were unlocked.
More than 400 law enforcement personnel have been deployed, and the campus along with the surrounding area remains under a shelter-in-place order.
The suspect is unidentified but is described as a male, possibly in his 30s, wearing dark clothing and maybe a mask.
Among the nine injured, seven are listed as critical.
A video has been released showing the suspect walking away from the campus, although the age remains unclear.
The FBI and ATF are assisting local and state police in the investigation.
Providence's mayor stated that there is no specific ongoing threat at this time.
