MetaMask Adds Bitcoin Support Alongside Ethereum, Solana, Monad, and Sei
MetaMask has expanded its crypto wallet to include Bitcoin support, allowing users to buy, sell, send, and receive BTC directly within the wallet. This update enables managing BTC alongside Ethereum, Solana, Monad, and Sei networks.
Users can now trade and manage Bitcoin within MetaMask with seamless swaps between BTC and EVM/SOL under a Multichain Account system. The rollout follows other recent feature additions, including the mUSD stablecoin on Ethereum and Linea, native swaps on Hyperliquid, and a Polymarket integration introduced earlier in December 2025.
Previously, MetaMask added support for Monad and Sei networks, with plans to introduce additional networks in 2026. Upgrading MetaMask wallets activates Bitcoin swap features and rewards points as part of a $30 million rewards program ahead of the wallet’s native token launch.
At the time of publication on December 15, 2025, Bitcoin was priced at approximately $85,584, reflecting a 3.8% decline in 24 hours and down 32% from its all-time high of $126,080.
