Micah Parsons Mocks Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones Following Trade and Season Decline
Micah Parsons, now a member of the Green Bay Packers, publicly mocked the Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones via a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). This came after Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus commented on the team's defensive decline in the 2025 season, partly attributing it to Parsons' trade departure. Eberflus noted the difficulty of replacing Parsons, a high-impact edge defender.
Parsons responded by posting Eberflus's quote with laughing emojis and accused Jones of slandering his name to both Cowboys and national media throughout the months of contract negotiations. Parsons had requested a trade from Dallas in August 2025, expressing displeasure that contract talks were proceeding without the involvement of his agent and criticizing the narrative pressure surrounding the negotiations.
Jerry Jones had earlier claimed in 2024 that the Cowboys believed they had reached an agreement with Parsons before Parsons' agent intervened and insisted that Dallas was willing to offer a contract with high guarantees. The Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs in the 2025 season, which was further marred by Parsons sustaining a season-ending injury that year.
