Michigan Basketball Coach Comments on Sherrone Moore Controversy and Program Chaos
Dusty May, Michigan men’s basketball head coach, addressed the controversy surrounding former Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore and the turmoil within Michigan’s football program following Moore's dismissal. Moore was terminated last week due to an inappropriate relationship with a staff member and was later arrested on stalking and home-invasion-related charges.
Authorities have charged Moore with a felony home-invasion count, along with two misdemeanor charges of stalking and breaking and entering without the owner's permission. Prosecutors allege Moore terrorized the staffer after his firing. Moore's bond was set at $25,000, which included conditions such as mandatory mental health treatment, GPS monitoring, no contact with the victim, and residency in Michigan. He has entered a not-guilty plea.
