Milan and Sassuolo played out a 2-2 draw at San Siro, with Armand Lauriente equalising for Sassuolo in the 77th minute. With this result, Milan remain top of Serie A with 32 points from 15 matches. Napoli has the chance to overtake them if they win their game at Udinese later on Sunday. Additionally, Inter could move to within one point of Napoli if they secure a victory over Genoa and Napoli fail to win.
In La Liga, Real Sociedad have dismissed head coach Sergio Francisco after a 2-1 home defeat to Girona left them with 16 points from 16 matches and in 15th place. A replacement coach has yet to be announced. Furthermore, the match between Levante and Villarreal has been postponed due to heavy rain in the Valencia region, with a new date for the fixture to be confirmed.
