Moonpig Sees Sales Growth and Profit Rebound Driven by AI Personalisation
Moonpig reported sales growth of 6.7% to £169 million in the six-month period ending 31 October 2025. Approximately half of purchases now involve AI-led design, personalisation, or queries, a significant increase from around 2% two years ago. The company's AI system designs a range of cards under in-house oversight to ensure relevance. Pre-tax profit for the half-year was £26.6 million, a reversal from a £33.3 million loss in the previous year. An AI chat system handles about one-third of customer queries and receives higher customer ratings compared to those managed by humans. CEO Nickyl Raithatha will step down at the end of December, and Catherine Faiers will succeed as CEO. Moonpig also operates Greetz in Europe and sells experiential vouchers such as spa days and cinema trips. Budget changes have had no noticeable effect on customer behaviour. Trading remains encouraging with a strong start to peak trading and reduced uncertainty.
