Multiple Players Ejected After Brawl Breaks Out During Eagles-Commanders Game
A brawl broke out in the fourth quarter of the Eagles-Commanders game, held at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, with the Philadelphia Eagles leading by 19 points and fewer than five minutes left in the game.
Three players were ejected for unnecessary roughness: Washington's Javon Kinlaw and Quan Martin, and Eagles tackle Tyler Steen. Officials threw six penalties as the melee unfolded before order was restored.
The altercation was triggered after Saquon Barkley scored on a 2-point conversion to push the Eagles' lead to 19 points. Following the fracas, Barkley, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, and Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner spoke to one another.
The Eagles won the game 29-18, clinching their second straight NFC East division title. This marks the first back-to-back NFC East championships since the 2004 Eagles.
