Myriad Partners with Walrus for On-Chain Data Storage to Enhance Prediction Market Transparency
Myriad is integrating with Walrus to utilize Walrus as the decentralized data layer for storing Myriad market artifacts on-chain. This integration is designed to store outputs immutably, ensuring tamper-proof and publicly auditable provenance.
Ilan Hazan, co-founder of Myriad, states that the shift toward decentralized storage and on-chain data makes outputs verifiable and auditable, enhancing transparency in prediction markets. Walrus executive Rebecca Simmonds highlights that on-chain records are tamper-proof and cannot be altered, which assists in audits and regulatory compliance.
The on-chain data layer also facilitates verifiable price feeds and evidence sets beneficial for AI models and DeFi protocols, such as collateralization and automated payouts. Furthermore, the partnership could enable broader analyses of market data to support AI, governance, and policy applications, effectively acting as a transparent poll of public opinion.
Myriad plans to further explore integration with the Sui stack, including the Seal secrets management platform, to advance its goal of establishing a fully on-chain prediction market. This initiative aims to realign incentives toward creating a more open and accountable media ecosystem.
