Newly Released Emails and FBI Notes Reveal Prince Andrew's Links to Epstein and Others
Recently disclosed emails and Department of Justice notes shed light on Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's interactions involving Ghislaine Maxwell and his ties to controversial figures linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Emails dated 2001 to 2002 reveal Andrew requested Maxwell arrange meetings with individuals described as inappropriate friends, but Maxwell indicated she could only find appropriate acquaintances. These exchanges coincided with Andrew's departure from the Royal Navy in 2001 and the death of his longtime valet in August of that year.
Further correspondence from early 2002 shows Maxwell forwarding messages concerning a trip to Peru and organizing meetings with girls characterized as “intelligent pretty fun” from good families to please Andrew. A photograph corroborates Mountbatten-Windsor's official visit to Peru shortly after these discussions.
Department of Justice releases note that Britain's Metropolitan Police approached the FBI regarding investigations tied to Andrew's associations with Epstein, with US lawyers disputing some factual claims made on Andrew's behalf. Among the disclosed materials is an allegation that Donald Trump was on a 1990s flight with Epstein and a 20-year-old woman; Trump denies any wrongdoing and there is no independent verification of the woman's identity.
An image of a card allegedly sent from Epstein to Larry Nassar references a shared interest in "young, nubile girls;" interestingly, the card's postmark is dated three days after Epstein's death in August 2019. Additionally, the FBI sought to question Andrew about connections to sex offender Peter Nygard.
These revelations have intensified public demand for Andrew to cooperate fully with US investigations into Epstein-related matters. Since October, Mountbatten-Windsor has largely avoided public attention, having been stripped of royal titles and relocated from Royal Lodge. Scrutiny of his ties to Epstein has persisted since 2011, including the widely known photograph with Virginia Giuffre.
