NHL Stars Adam Fox and Jason Robertson Left Off Team USA Olympic Roster
USA Hockey announced its Olympic roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics, which will take place from February 4 to February 22, 2026, notably leaving off New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox and Dallas Stars left winger Jason Robertson.
Adam Fox, a former Team USA participant in the 4 Nations Tournament and the 2020-21 Norris Trophy winner, has been performing strongly with 28 points in 24 games this season despite missing 14 games due to a shoulder injury. The Rangers struggled during his absence, going 6-6-2 with a faltering power play. Robertson has also had a strong season with 24 goals and 24 assists in 41 games, though he was similarly left off the 4 Nations roster last season due to a slow start.
Fox expressed disappointment over not being selected, acknowledging the process was out of his hands but believing his current year's play and career achievements deserved consideration.
The finalized Team USA roster includes forwards Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Jake Guentzel, Jack Hughes, Dylan Larkin, among others; defensemen Charlie McAvoy, Quinn Hughes, Seth Jones, Zach Werenski, and others; and goaltenders Connor Hellebuyck, Jake Oettinger, and Jeremy Swayman.
